Daniel Quintero, of Schenectady, was sentenced to six years behind bars in federal court in Albany Tuesday, Sept. 26.
It came after he admitted to downloading hundreds of videos and images depicting child sex abuse between May 2019 and March 2022.
Investigators with the FBI’s Albany Child Exploitation Task Force found the illicit images on multiple electronic devices and a cloud storage account belonging to Quintero.
In addition to his prison sentence, he was ordered to complete 10 years of supervised release and pay $9,000 in restitution to three victims whose abuse was depicted in the images he possessed.
He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
